Furniture

So I have been I'm still in nesting and really want to enjoy a cute house!

When my mom was in town I got a ton done it was great.
We bought 2 pieces of furniture and painted them hung curtains, it was great.

The other day the bug hit and I bought this number.

Dressers sell so so fast here it's crazy so I jumped on this.

The pictures make it look much nicer then it is. I wish it looked good as is but it must be painted and I need your help deciding what to do.

So I have a gray paint and cream and I bought this dresser for 40 and need 3 new handles so I really don't want to buy new paint.

Mason really wanted to be in the picture:)

there is a bunny at out house

I love gifts from friends and family when they don't need to but want too.
Our new friends out here in Bakersfield have surprised me and it makes me treasure their friendship.
So with baby number two you don't expect parties or gifts at least I didn't, but good friends in our Fairview ward have welcomed our new son into the ward and I appreciate there kind words and deeds.

So Matthew was born on Easter and a cute smart friend thought of this as a gift.

Who doesn't love a cute baby butt?

He didn't love having his photo taken today.
Check out those cheeks they have gotten fatter since you last seen them huh! 2 lb heavier good job mom.

Mom Mom ROCK

It's true I live in a house of boys, Mason loves being outside and climbing on rocks looking at bug and making new friends.
I feel like the biggest loser when it's time to leave the park and Mason still wants to stay and play.
Mason loved finding these big rocks to climb up and jump off, he didn't jump off himself he held our hand.

Wind Wolves

We miss the fast access to mountains in Logan. But we found Wind wolves preserve, it's a 45 minute drive threw farms and orchards. We always try to guess what is growing so we roll down the window and  guess what citrus tree we are smelling. We recently saw our first avocado orchard, so bring on the tree trivia.

Wind wolves was beautiful and everything was FREE my kind of day out. They have fun classes for all ages the workers there are so friendly. Jana a ranger there heard Matthew crying and came out looking for the new baby. We loved visiting with her and learning about the park.

Lucas's favorite thing was watching the lizards and the visitor center.
Sarah's favorite thing was being in a space were we could run around and let our hair down.
Mason's favorite thing was seeing all the animals.
Matthew's favorite thing was the wind.

Took a few practices to do it by myself jumping over the little river.

A nice walk led to a waterfall

Really a fun place we are sad the weather is turning hot but once fall comes we are excited to go camping here. So any family or friends when you come visit we will go eat lunch and hike here!

Lame but cool

So funny Mason today was mad about something and yelled from the other room "NOT COOL". I didn't understand what he had said at first but the second time he rang true and loud.
This kid is trying to make sentences but often still make sup his own word that I have no idea what they mean. The newest one is mush.

We have taught Mason so Thai words and he has caught on!
He says mannii which means to come and he uses that often.
Jub or to kiss for pacifier, funny enough in Portuguese it's pretty close to jub also.

So something lame but cool was the horse show we went to last week it was cool to see for about 10 min and then it was lame.

Fun with Mawmaw and Pawpaw

Ate our first Black and white at Dewar's YUMMY

Mason never lets Pawpaw out of his sight.

Special Day

So I'm not sure how many people read this blog but I'm turning it into more of a journal so if your wondering why it's becoming more personal just feel like you found my diary and you reading it. No because then you would feel bad or not but this is free game. Plus we are away from all of our family and want to let them be apart of our day to day lives.

Today Matthew Logan Garcia was blessed at our church. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Matthew was blessed by his Dad, Pawpaw and the Bishop few but all very important men. There were also two other baby blessings so it was fun to see three babies blessed.

We have been looking forward to this day and when it was Matthew's special moment I was like it's here and it's gone. Why do special moments happen so fast, I've decided I need to have more.

We love Matthew it was so wonderful to see friends at church again and feel there love ans support.

We were all so tired after church we have yet to get a picture together and the battery died on my camera so more pictures will be coming soon ish.

Love you all

All Garcia babies in the last few generations have worn this ring on there blessing days Mark Lucas's Dad did Lucas and all his brothers and Matthew and his brother. I'm not sure how many generations but it is a tradition we LOVE!

Snake Pretzels

Awhile ago we took a tour of a local pretzel store it was wonderful and it ended with a free pretzel that the kids helped make. Since them Mason has a new love of pretzels or maybe he gets that from his Uncle Bryan. So today I told Mason we were going to make pretzels which he then asked if we were going to make snakes.

He loved helping roll them out

They weren't my favorite I've made but I loved making and then eating them with in 30 min.

Mason was excited to give Daddy his!

my helper got distracted.

See Mason Run

Mason loves to run he gets those arms pumping and a start off kick and he is off.

We found his old owl hat and he loves wearing it he pretends he is a bird and spread his arms like wings while standing tall on a chair and waves them up and down.

Mom's back was hurting so we sat on the side lines.

This was the first time we had Matthew uncovered outside usually he is in his sling on mom so people don't try and see him. It was cute all the kids ran over to say good bye to the new baby. Man we love new babies.

life as we know it

Life as we know it is much different, but a good different. We sleep less or you could say we appreciate the sleep we do get. There is no longer two in our bed but three and more often then we would like four. Lucas is a father of two weird to think that not to long ago he was the eligible  bachelor on Darwin. I can't believe that I have two kids I feel to young for this, going to Walmart wears my body out. Mason he was changed the most. Maybe we are more aware of the difference between him and his brother, but he is huge. He is such a great helper with Matthew he loves to throw away his diapers and rock him when he cries. He thinks it's really funny to scare Matthew, his arms and legs fly up into the air and he takes in a deep breath.

Life is different but we are happy. We wish we could be closer to family but we are glad they are only a days drive away.

With General Conferance for the LDS church we were able to watch and learn. We came away with the desire to be happier by making small changes in our life. For me reading scriptures daily has been a challenge finally a light bulb went on my not listen to the scriptures everyday. It's working and I love it am I happier? I think so it's nice to start my day off thinking about the Savior and his ministry.

Life as we know it is changing, we are trying to be happier and we are excited for the summer and swim time! This mom is a fish and I'm excited to help Mason learn to swim this summer, get tan and lose this baby weight.

Conference Weekend

I am so lucky having a baby Easter weekend and then conference the next has been wonderful! I love that I can sit at home recover and enjoy hearing God's word.
It's so wonderful that every six months we get to sit and think about how we are doing and what we need to do to be better and be happier.

I think that is going to be my personal goal for the next while is to be as happy as I can everyday.

Mason did pretty well hanging around the house he LOVED playing on his new drum set from aunt Vanessa.

I forget how much newborns sleep.
He is a week old today and we can feel that he has gain weight already 10 lbs.

Here is Dad trying to fix taxes. Mom did them wrong and he figured out we deserve 1,000 more then we got! Blessings of having a great hubby.
