check it off the bucket list...almost

It's been a dream of mine to see the red wood forest, today didn't check it off my bucket list but the sequoia's were amazing. If I died tomorrow I would count it as checking it off.

Magical Musical Octopus

Mason was go great when I went shopping at Kohl's the other day and he asked so nicely for the a new pet octopus and I got it. I wish this kid would realize how much funner life is without meltdowns. Also Mason does not enjoy singing and we are trying to help him not have a melt down every time we sing. So his magical octopus came with us to music class and as you can see Mason and octopus his name is two did wonderful.

this is how we go to the pool

We are lucky enough to have a pool at our apartment complex and since our city was named after being hot we will go there often this summer.

My sister gave me her wagon last year and we squeezed it in the moving truck and I'm so glad we did it saves me.

Mason asked to wear this body glove suit and man did he act like superman wearing it. He is very hesitant when going to the water which is great.

we wonder what color Matthew's hair will be it's coming in very light. Lucas was a toe head when he was younger so who knows.

life has been fun

It is time to play. Lucas has been working more lately the oil season is picking up so he is getting called out on my jobs. So when he is home he play hard.

We try to find free things so that our fun budget goes farther.

There was a concert in the park with free carriage rides, the weather was wonderful Lucas had only slep 4 hours that day so it was nice to actually enjoy the nice weather in Bakersfield which in May doesn't happen often.

These horses were taller then Lucas it was a sight to behold.

I found a cute pair of shoes the last pair in my size

the coupon made the shoes FREE

it was a reminder that I have a God that loves me and reminds me that even though being a mom of two is hard I'm doing it with His help

Mason asked fore pizza

A few weeks ago Mason and Dad went shopping for a new toy, and of all the cool toys Mason could choose from he hands down no questions afterward choose a Pizza making kit.

He loves helping when we are cooking and loves eating all the food he helps make.

My sister Vanessa shared with my how well her kids eat when they help choose and cook the food.

our topping choices included fresh basil, bacon, fresh pineapple or pepperoni. 

Also we have started potty training and Mason is doing great! Except he kept peeing in his pull ups after he would use the restroom so he went commando for the afternoon.

Lemonade Si Style

Lucas and I love watching Duck Dynasty, they are so funny! So the other day Lucas had a long week of work and when the men come home to Miss Kay's house she has ice tea in a mason jar full of ice for them.

So being inspired by Miss Kay and with fresh lemons,strawberries and basil in the house Lucas came home to this.

5 weeks old already...smiles are coming

music class

Mason has a love hate relationship with music. For the longest time he would have a full melt down during family night on Mondays when we would sing an opening song. One place he loves to enjoy music is music class. Well it was actually a demo class. Taking children's classes out here is expensive  Expensive meaning if I am paying 20 an hour to be part of a class = not worth my money I would rather pay for private lessons.

So I'm going to fix that in August it's my goal to start up a music group.

Here is Matthew always hanging around close to mom.

Any suggestions for teaching a music class any vetreans out there with any ideas?

FUN FRIDAY

We woke up today and Mason and I decided to play all day and Dad joined in at the end and we loved it!

Dad loved playing basketball

Mason loved the guns

Mom loved the few old school games

Enjoying the Weather

We have been out and about trying to enjoy the nice weather before we hit the long hot summer.

We are lucky to have a playground in our apartment complex and a pool.

Mason has been practicing and practicing to learn to balance and climb this ladder.

The part were it curves is the tricky part.
