Matthew's Room

So this room I LOVE my mom and I found the elephant print in the quit and it was our inspiration.

Elephants are so magical to me in Thailand it was so fun to see these animals up close and personal. I like elephants so much I even had one on my wedding cake so doing them in Matthew's room was an easy decision.

My mom is a great seamstress and made the curtains, his quilt and the bumpers that look perfect oh and the bed skirt.

The dresser we bought for $10 and painted it gray and added new hardware. The shelf was in my mom's basement and I stuffed it in my car and brought it home to CA. The big M we ran into at Hobby Lobby on the clearance shelf. 

I love this rug we found it at IKEA and I stuffed it in my car and I made the trip from UT to CA.

We have lots of family far away and want them to be a part of what is happening in out lives hence we are posting tons of pictures here and not on facebook.

Don't we love those that over share on facebook, it's the worse when people talk about there kids poop.

Mason LOVE IT!

PS: it is loud

New baby all over again

I appreciate that I remember and forget all the parts of new babies. 

Meaning the late nights, snuggle time, the baby noises,when there legs curl up and they snuggle into your neck.

Mason adjusting to the new baby is fun. He wasn't to excited when he came home but he was excited to see his mom which I loved! I missed him too I was at the hospital too long (Fri night to Monday afternoon).

 But today Mason loved getting in Matthew's bed with him for a min and laying down with him. When he cries Mason runs over and he is the official rocker in the house and does a great job.

I'm looking forward to watching Matthew do new things and he will have 3 cheerleaders one of which is his BIG brother and Matthew can watch and imitate him.

Well everyone is sleeping and it's time for mom to sleep and rest this body.

Came 6 days late!

Such a miracle that our son Matthew with the meaning Gift from God was born on the day we celebrate our Savior's Resurrection.

When he was born we whispered in his ear that because of God's love you was apart  of our family and we would teach him who his Savior was. That we would be a family together forever because his mom and dad were sealed in His temple and he had no need to worry that we would teach him how to return to live with his Heavenly Father and not to be scared.

Pretzel Tour

So many of my friends ask me what do you do all day being a mom? I tell them PLAY and have fun!

So we met up with some Bakersfield Stake Mom's and took a tour of the pretzel store and ate free pretzels.

Mason has a new love for pretzels.

They had a fun story for us to learn about where pretzels came from.

He loves being with new friends!!

Eggs

We are enjoying Easter activities. Mason got some sweet bunny ears and he loves pretending he is a bunny and jumping around with his ears on. With Easter coming we have been practicing Easter egg hunts and Mason loves loves it. Dad had to do the Easter egg hunt because mom gets too competitive and Dad is relaxed and lets Mason do his thing. 

It was funny Mason kept saying trick or when he wanted to eat more of his candy.

Then to top it off we saw a train!!
